SEMINAR ON ACCELERATING INTRODUCTION OF ENERGY SAVING EQUIPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL SOUND MANAGEMENT OF USED FLUOROCARBONS

Taking place on the afternoon of 5th December 2017, in Hanoi, Green Development Center collaborated with E&E Solution Company to organize and coordinate the seminar on sharing experience and discussion between Vietnam and Japan Associations on promotion of energy saving equipment and environmental sound management of used fluorocarbons.

Vietnam’s participants include: Vietnam Society of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (VISREA), Association of Energy conservation and efficiency (VECEA), School of Heat Engineering and Refrigeration (IHERE) – Hanoi University of Technology (HUST); on the Japan sides, participants include: Japan Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (JARAC), The Japan Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA) .

Through the seminar: issues on applying, managing, recovering and disposing of Fluorocarbons were discussed enthusiatically. Participants of Japan shared that at the moment, in Japan, FCs refrigerant has almost been replaced by new low GWP/ natural refrigerant. In Vietnam, this issue has been proposed but there is still lack of policy and implementation mechanism, there is only one licensed enterprise for FCs destruction.
